Miss Albemarle
Shelby Marie Edwards
Shelby Edwards is the 18 year old daughter of Kendrick and Holly Edwards of Charlottesville. Shelby is a senior at Charlottesville High School where she is the Vice President of her class and the International Thespian Society. She is a member of the Charlottesville High School’s String Ensemble and the Knightingales Show Choir. Shelby enjoys practicing her violin or learning how to play a new instrument, and in her free time she can be found at the Music Resource Center. After High School Shelby plans on attending Virginia Commonwealth University in the Fall to study Theatre Performance.
Miss Buckingham
Hannah Leigh Sprouse
Hannah Sprouse is the 16 year old daughter of Terry and Angela Sprouse of Buckingham. Hannah is a Junior at Buckingham County High School where she is in the SCA and Skills USA. She is very involved in the youth group at her church. Hannah loves to be with her family and friends.
Miss Fluvanna
Katelyn Marie Almarode
Katelyn Almarode is the 16 year old daughter of Brian Almarode and Jennifer Spradlin. Katelyn is a Sophomore at Fluvanna County High School where she is a member of the Key Club, captain for JV Cheerleading, member of the track team, and manager of a sports team. Katelyn is a volunteer at the SPCA. After High School Katelyn plans to attend James Madison University and pursue a career in Education and Family Law.
Miss Greene
Cassie Ann Richards
Cassie Ann Richards is the 19 year old daughter of Lori and Charles Richards of Greene, Virginia. Cassie is a first year student at Piedmont Virginia Community College where she is pursuing a degree in Sonography. Cassie has been employed at the Charlottesville Outback for three years and enjoys working under and learning from the proprietor Brent Lunnen. Cassie enjoys hiking, fishing, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
Miss Louisa
Katelynn Nicole Harrison
Katelynn Harrison is the 17 year old daughter of Roger and Karla Harrison of Mineral. Katelynn is a senior at Louisa County High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council Association, Speech and Debate, Main Stage and Musical Theater, varsity and competition cheerleading, and chorus. Katelynn enjoys playing the guitar, piano, dancing, singing, listening to music, participating in pageants and volunteering in her community. After High School Katelynn plans to attend Christopher Newport University where she has been accepted into the Presidential Leadership Program. She will major in business through the University’s Joseph W. Luther III School of Business while she minors in Communication and Theater.
Miss Madison
Chelsea Nichole Colvin
Chelsea Colvin is the 16 year old daughter of DuWayne and Kimberly Peterson of Madison. Chelsea is a student at Madison County High School where she is a high honors student and is enrolled in the Blue Ridge Virtual Governor’s School program; she is a member of the BETA Society, a member of the varsity softball team and cheerleading squad. Chelsea enjoys working at her mother’s hair salon, swimming, fishing, and helping with youth sports. Chelsea is an active member of the youth group at Madison Presbyterian Church. After High School Chelsea hopes to pursue a career in the field of Sociology or Psychology.
Miss Orange
Kaitlin Taylor Phifer
Kaitlin Phifer is the 17 year old daughter of Ray and Barbara Ezell of Orange County. Kaitlin is a Junior at Orange County High School where she is a member of the Student Counsel Association, the Spanish Club, the football cheerleading squad, and the varsity tennis team. Kaitlin is a member of Orange Baptist Church where she plays handbells and sings in the youth choir. Since 2011 Kaitlin has been selected for the Virginia Baptist All-State Youth Choir, and she has been a Virginia Women’s Missionary Union State Panelist. She is a three year coach for upward basketball. Kaitlin enjoys singing, babysitting, and playing with her dog.
